Sr. Manager of Estimating, Automation, Shoreview

Overseeing one-of-a-kind projects, the Sr. Manager of Estimating will tackle our most unique automation challenges through pricing out premier products/solutions that are unparalleled in our industry. From medical device automation to robotic software solutions, the work you do will ensure the wellbeing of our client's customers around the world.

Success Criteria:

Do you wake up in the morning and grab coffee and blueprints? Having the ability to lead a team who reviews technical specifications, conceptualize, price and prepare proposals for first of a kind solutions will set you on the path to victory in this role.

Our incoming proposals often have hard-stop deadlines for submittal, so accurate project costing, planning, and execution should be second nature to the way you work. Our customers have unique needs and sometimes don't even know what to ask for. Your exposure to Automation, assembly, and test equipment projects and ability to develop a team and build strong relationships will help you hit the ground running and ensure our teams are effectively supporting new, existing and after-market solutions.

Lastly, you'll lead a team that is the cornerstone to bridging the gap between sales and engineering. Design concepts can often differ from the finished product. Your partnership with Sales, Engineering & Manufacturing to ensure accurate pricing that supports our ability to build, debug, run-off, teardown, ship, install, and verify success will get you noticed and set us apart from our competitors.

Qualifications 

  • US Citizen or Green Card Holder
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related technical field and/or relevant years of experience in similar engineering/technical/sales role.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in a related field.
  • Proficient in use of SolidWorks and Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Visio
  • Ability to understand and articulate our capabilities to new business prospects
  • Strong planning, cost estimating, written, verbal, and organizational skills
  • Ability to follow through and consistently deliver on commitments
  • Experience working within a technical engineering-driven and project-based matrix organization
  • Experience in custom automation or other capital equipment is highly desirable
  • Ability to travel ~15% of the time. Some international travel may be required.
