What you will be doing:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive extended stay sales strategy.
  • Create SMART action plans for target and top accounts to increase market share and monthly targets.
  • Identify target markets and develop plans to penetrate and capture new business opportunities.
  • Leverage expertise in extended stay hotel sales to identify and secure long-term stay business.
  • Build relationships with corporate clients, relocation companies, and other potential extended stay clients.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients.
  • Conduct regular client visits and presentations to showcase the benefits of our extended stay offerings.
  • Collaborate with revenue management to optimize pricing strategies.
  • Identify and engage with potential clients to expand the hotel's client base.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of competitors' strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.
  • Stay informed about market trends and industry developments.
  • Utilize data and market insights to adapt and refine sales strategies.
  • Prepare regular reports on sales performance and market trends for senior leadership.
  • Capture and organize weekly sales activities within a sales CRM to track the status of accounts, activities, and production.
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with overall business objectives.

Experience you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, hospitality management, or a related field.
  • Advanced degree or industry certifications are a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Director of Sales within the extended stay hotel segment.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with hotel sales and customer relationship management software.
  • Ability to create and manage action plans to drive performance improvement.
  • Strong analytical, strategic, and problem-solving skills.
