The ideal candidate is both strategic and execution-focused, with experience coaching attorneys, leading pitches, and managing cross-functional BD initiatives in a law firm setting.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead strategic planning and implementation for practice-wide BD goals
  • Oversee and contribute to pitches, RFPs, and client presentations
  • Conduct market research and identify trends and cross-sell opportunities

  • Serve as internal coach and strategist to practice group leaders and partners
  • Manage marketing content, awards submissions (e.g., Chambers, Legal 500), and BD collateral
  • Supervise, mentor, and support development of a BD Manager
  • Track metrics (proposal success, new matters, revenue growth) and report outcomes
  • Coordinate across practice management, marketing, and admin teams to ensure alignment

Experience You’ll Need

  • 6+ years in business development or marketing within a law firm or professional services setting
  • Proven success in supporting revenue growth and high-value client engagement
  • Bachelor’s required; JD or MBA strongly preferred
  • Strong project management, leadership, and presentation skills
  • Experience with client research tools, CRM platforms (e.g., DealCloud, InterAction), and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Background in Employment/Labor law BD is a strong plus

Why Join
Join a values-driven firm where business development is seen as a strategic function. Offers one of the most progressive hybrid schedules, cutting-edge benefits (like backup care and paid sabbatical), and a collaborative environment that values BD talent. This role is ideal for a professional who wants to shape firm strategy, lead with purpose, and grow in a national legal powerhouse.
