What you will be doing:

  • Develop a comprehensive fundraising plan and calendar to include prospecting; solicitation and stewardship of individuals; grant writing; along with solicitation of corporations and foundations.
  • Develop and oversee marketing efforts to include print, digital, and social media.
  • Create internal infrastructure for fundraising efforts.
  • Provide timely reporting to the senior leadership team, CEO, and Board of Directors.
  • Stewardship of current and prospective major donors.
  • Promote the company throughout the philanthropic community.
  • Create and execute smaller events for fundraising and prospecting.
  • Develop and oversee marketing efforts including print, digital, and social media.
  • Recruit volunteer support and other resources to enhance fundraising efforts.
  • Coordinate workflow of department administrative assistant and work flexible hours as philanthropic/marketing responsibilities may indicate.

Experience you will need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, AFP or CFRE designation highly desirable.
  • Minimum of five years experience in philanthropy.
  • Proven success in soliciting donors and bringing in six figures or more in unrestricted gifts annually.
  • Experience with fundraising tools including planned giving, legacies and bequests.
  • Record of accomplishment of successfully sourcing and writing grants.
  • Established connections within the Philanthropic community of Rhode Island and SE Massachusetts.
  • Excellent writing skills.
  • Computer savvy with expert proficiency in MS Office.
  • Knowledge of Donor Perfect and Windfall is helpful, but not required.
