Position Summary:
 
Our client is seeking an experienced Sales Engineer with a strong technical background and a passion for designing and implementing solid and impactful solutions for our customers. The Sales Engineer is an integral part of the sales organization and is positioned to support the sales team by identifying opportunities to leverage our products and services to increase revenue and provide a successful customer experience.
 
This position will benefit from an annual salary plus monthly commissions based on market quota attainment. 
 
What you will be doing:
  • Meet with prospects to identify network needs, provide technical consultation and help to design solutions/proposals to address the need.
  • Present to C-Level and Technical prospects with in-depth descriptions of design to include White-boarding, Visio Review, and Product Demos (SD-WAN, Firewall, Hosted Voice, Cloud Solutions). 
  • Work with Sales to ensure a solid strategy around every opportunity. This includes leveraging the Segra fiber infrastructure to build managed services to capture the full 
  • potential of that prospect utilizing mapping tools, product/technical knowledge, solid technical  discovery and a good understanding of the competitive landscape and business plans.
  • Ensure the Segra network and product specifications are aligned for successful implementation of proposed solutions.
  • Provide training to the sales organization to keep the team engaged and educated on our products and services and the industry as a whole. 
  • Gather all technical documentation as it relates to the customer design after the sale.  This will require close engagement with the customer's technical resources along with Segra project management and service activation teams.
  • Act as a liaison between Sales, Product Management and Ops/Engineering to provide feedback from the field, competitive information, product roll out and support and training.
  • Create solid network diagrams and detailed scope of work documentation for both customer presentations and service activation teams.

  • What you will need:
  •  Minimum 3-5 years in Telecommunications or related field in a technical role required.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and listening skills required.  Business acumen 
  • and technical confidence required.
  • Strong knowledge of network transport delivery and design required.
  • Experience with selling and designing solutions that include WAN, MPLS, SD-WAN, Cloud Services (*aaS), Firewall, UCaaS, SIP Trunking, PRI and W-Fi required.
  • Current industry certification supporting expertise in one or more of the following:
  • Route/Switch, Information Security/Cyber Security, or Data Center/Cloud preferred.
