What you will be doing:

  • Manage the agency’s larger client base and key client accounts.
  • Conduct thorough account reviews at renewal and upon notice of operational changes.
  • Provide ongoing and annual coverage gap analysis.
  • Document coverage recommendations.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients to maintain a high level of client retention and product loyalty.
  • Assist and mentor a team of 2 commercial account managers and 4 commercial assistants.

Experience you will need:

  • 7-10 years of direct client commercial insurance service experience in an agency, with a carrier, or MGA.
  • Experience in both middle market and small commercial, across all lines of business.
  • Strong technical knowledge of commercial coverages and all lines of business.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively for self and others.
  • Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Strength in mentoring others in the position.
  • Valid Minnesota Insurance license (or ability to acquire if currently at a carrier or MGA).
