Director of Business Development, Construction 

What you will be doing:

  • Represent Client by authentically living out the firm's core values and having a positive influence on everyone you meet.
  • Create, administer, and implement business development strategies for the company.
  • Identify, evaluate, and solicit project pursuits through reading all types of media, involvement in relevant organizations, cold calling, and conference attendance.
  • Initiate and develop relationships identified in the pursuits; identify additional staff that needs to be brought in for meetings, presentations, etc.
  • Maintain relationships with clients to ensure project success.
  • Assist marketing staff in customizing presentations and other sales materials.
  • Assist marketing staff in responding to RFPs and RFQs.
  • Work with the Project Management team to write proposals.
  • Track and report on the progress and success of each pursuit through Salesforce (CRM software).
  • Meet with Partners and Division Managers regularly to review pursuits and discuss strategies.
  • Participate in the DeAngelis Diamond management summit meetings.
  • Other duties as assigned.
 

Experience you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree desired.
  • 5+ years of proven business development experience in engineering, architecture, or construction.
  • Track record of closing deals.
  • Ability to present a professional image to management, staff, clients, and other outside contacts.
  • Ability to consistently manage numerous high-priority projects at the same time.
  • Exceptional internal and external customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team member.
  • Ability to write responses for RFPs and RFQs.
  • Flexible in nature to accommodate growth and change.
  • Fully competent in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM systems.
