Network Administrator, Beverly Hills, CA

Beverly Hills, CA | Fully On-Site | 1-Year Contract (with option to renew)

Own the infrastructure. Lead the modernization. Work in one of the most scrutinized, high-expectation public-sector environments in Southern California.

A well-regarded public-sector organization in Beverly Hills is seeking a Network Administrator. This is not a caretaker role. The previous incumbent held the seat for 15 years. The organization is now launching major infrastructure upgrades, a data center relocation, and a voice platform migration — and this person will be the technical lead driving that work.

Why this role stands out

  • You are the senior technical authority for network, server, wireless, firewall, and infrastructure systems.
  • You direct field technicians and contracted crews — not just configure devices.
  • You own standards, architecture decisions, vendor selection, and project execution.
  • Technology is treated as a strategic capability here, not a back-office cost center. Peers study this environment.
  • Real ownership of multi-site campus networking, next-generation firewalls, enterprise wireless, Cisco Catalyst switching, virtualization, and upcoming modernization projects.

What you’ll own

  • Full administration of switching, routing, wireless, firewalls, servers, storage, virtualization, and cloud infrastructure
  • Network security, identity/access management, backup/DR, and monitoring
  • Direction and quality control of field technicians performing installs and remediation
  • Scoping, planning, and execution of infrastructure upgrades, data center relocation, and VoIP/cloud calling migration
  • Documentation, asset management, vendor coordination, and technical leadership

Must-haves

  • 3+ years (5+ preferred) of progressive network/systems/infrastructure administration experience
  • Hands-on enterprise switching, routing, wireless, and next-gen firewall work (Cisco or Aruba + Palo Alto strongly preferred)
  • Server, storage, and virtualization administration experience
  • Ownership of backup, recovery, and disaster recovery systems
  • Experience directing field technicians or contracted install crews
  • Ability to work fully on-site in Beverly Hills, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
  • Valid California driver’s license and ability to pass background clearances
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (or equivalent experience)

Strongly preferred

  • CCNA / CCNP, Network+, Security+, Microsoft, Azure, AWS, VMware, or equivalent certifications
  • Multi-site/campus fiber and distributed IDF/MDF experience
  • Network access control (ClearPass or equivalent)
  • Public sector, education, or regulated environment background
  • End-to-end ownership of a network refresh or modernization project
  • Comfort being the most senior technical person in the room

Compensation

Two structures available:

  • W-2: Up to $120,000 base + full benefits + paid holidays and PTO
  • Hourly contract: Up to $75/hour (all-inclusive). No benefits or paid time off.

Location & schedule

Fully on-site in Beverly Hills. No remote or hybrid option.
