Job Summary
The Sales & Technology Support Associate provides outstanding phone support to our outside sales force and our customers with a positive attitude and a sense of urgency. Excellent technical, communication and analytical skills are the prerequisites needed to take our customers through the sales process from application assistance through post-sales follow up.
Principal duties and tasks
- · Provide product and application support for customers and salespeople
- Answer inquiries concerning product capabilities and specifications
- Analyze and troubleshoot customer issues via phone or email
- Assist customers with the programming and configuration of our products through simple script based or C/C++/C# and Visual Basic programming languages·
- Maintain records of customer interactions and transactions, recording details of inquiries, requests, and complaints as well as actions taken
- May assist sales reps with on-site presentations to and programming for customers, as needed
- Develop, proofread, and modify new product release materials such as product literature, technical and sales manual, training manual through the coordination with the parent company
- Update manuals for existing products training
- Develop, update, and disseminate technical guides and tips in order to increase the knowledge and skill level of the sales force via company intranet and/or electronic newsletters
- Plan, design, develop, and deliver trainings on existing and new products, applications, and competitive information for salespeople including both new hires and incumbents
- Proactively identify areas to improve department operation efficiency and initiate projects to achieve such improvements
- Understand and observe company / department policies and procedures
- Travel to sales offices and/or training seminars, as needed

Qualifications
· High degree of attention to detail
· Strong public speaking skill
· Communication Skills- communicate complex ideas and solutions in a simplified fashion
· Ability to organize and prioritize diverse set of projects, tasks, and activities for timely completion
· Analytical and Problem solving skills. Ability to identify complex problems, evaluate options based on the information supplied and determine appropriate solutions
· Proficient business writing and oral communication skills
· Knowledge of Microsoft-based applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
· Integrity – job requires appropriate handling of confidential, sensitive information
· Ability to establish and maintain pleasant interpersonal relationships primarily over the phone and emails
· Ability to empathize with customers and assure them that you’re not happy until they are
· Electronic / Mechanical Engineering or Physics based background
· Programming experience in C or Visual Basic programming language
Typical Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline and/or 1+ year of experience in industrial automation or quality control field
