What you will be doing:
- Manage and coach sales professionals to implement sales processes and whole goods strategy within Area of Responsibility
- Travel with outside sales personnel weekly to assess performance and foster customer relationships
- Create development plans for sales professionals, including individual training needs for both product knowledge and selling skills
- Ensure new salespeople achieve Deere Level 1 certification within 12 months from the date of hire and Level 2 within 36 months
- Conduct monthly one-on-one evaluations with sales staff reviewing daily, weekly, and monthly duties
- Conduct biannual one-on-one evaluations focused on Branch and Company goals including volume, unit sales, market share, program participation, and business plan targets
- Hold branch sales meetings with staff and management monthly or every other month to discuss market conditions, competition, and training needs
- Share best practices within the Branch as well as company-wide
- Follow a consistent sales process that drives optimal financial, market, and customer performance as directed by management
- Work with Parts Managers, Service Managers, Dispatchers, and the Corporate Used Equipment Manager to ensure a best-in-class customer experience
- Responsible for recruiting, staffing, and employee development activities for direct reports under the direction of the Branch Manager
- Monitor inventory and ensure proper levels as directed by Corporate
Experience you will need:
- Ability to teach and coach sales professionals on selling techniques and processes
- Capacity to be an internal resource for sales staff in product knowledge, financing options, and marketing programs
- Proficiency in computer applications such as Handle (CRM), JDQuote2, Foresight, and Market Share
- Ability to use software applications such as Microsoft Office and Excel
- Ability to analyze and interpret internal reports
- Post high school education preferred
