Technical Sales Engineer, HVAC
What you will be doing:
- Cultivate and service new and existing accounts, focusing on mechanical contractors, consulting engineers, architects, and end-users.
- Oversee projects from lead development to commissioning, including equipment application, proposal generation, sales, and closeout.
- Provide expert guidance to clients, developing basis-of-design specifications and enhancing customer engagement.
- Continuously refine knowledge of equipment evolution, industry standards, and innovative system solutions.
- Participate in strategic subcommittees (marketing, product development, employee benefits) and explore sales opportunities in aftermarket retrofits, parts sales, equipment service, maintenance agreements, and design/build construction projects.
Experience you will need:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of sales experience, preferably in mechanical systems or related fields. Candidates with strong technical backgrounds and less sales experience may be considered.
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC systems, or a related discipline.
- Engineering or technical background with an emphasis on mechanical systems.
- Basic competency in heat transfer and fluid systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Hands-on experience through hobbies, technical training, creative problem solving or otherwise.
- Ability to make professional presentations to engineers and owners.
- Willingness to travel locally within NJ, PA, and DE, with occasional overnight travel for training or as required.
- Field and project management experience is a plus; training provided for the right candidate.
- Mechanical inclination with experience in solving mechanical and electrical system problems.
