Overview
This position requires a skilled technician to maintain and repair electrical and mechanical equipment in a manufacturing setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in troubleshooting and repairing industrial machinery, specifically metal shears, presses, punches, and CNC machines.
Responsibilities
- Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance: Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical and mechanical components of production equipment. This includes diagnosing malfunctions, replacing parts, and ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently.
- Preventative Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and maintenance on machinery to prevent breakdowns and optimize performance.
- Installation and Modification: Install new equipment and modify existing machinery as needed.
- Problem Solving: Identify and resolve equipment issues to maintain production efficiency.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety regulations and guidelines, ensuring a safe work environment.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED; Associate degree or technical certifications preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repair of industrial machinery.
- Strong understanding of electrical theory and systems, including the ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
- Proficiency in welding, metal fitting, and cutting.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
