Senior Software Developer, Medical, IL

Our Client. is a leading manufacturer of hospital communication systems. Based in Niles, Illinois, Jeron has provided hardware and software communication solutions through an extensive base of partners since 1965.

POSITION

This position seeks a skilled and experienced software developer to play a key role in creating innovative applications that integrate seamlessly with our existing medical device communication systems equipment. The applications will be part of the Microsoft suite of products, ensuring a familiar and user-friendly experience for hospital staff. You will work collaboratively within a small team in the Engineering Department to design, develop, and implement these critical software solutions.

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE

• Advanced experience in C#:
  • Proficient in object-oriented programming (OOP) principles and design patterns.
  • Experience with building multi-threaded and asynchronous applications.
  • In-depth knowledge of the C# language constructs and best practices.
• User authentication with ADFS:
  • Solid understanding of Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS) for user authentication and authorization.
  • Experience implementing secure login and access control mechanisms using ADFS.
• HL-7:
  • Deep understanding of the Health Level Seven (HL-7) standard for healthcare data exchange.
  • Experience working with HL-7 v2 and/or v3 messaging protocols.
  • Ability to parse, interpret, and manipulate HL-7 messages.
• EMR (Electronic Medical Records):
  • Working knowledge of Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems and their integration with communication platforms.
  • Understanding of healthcare data models and terminology standards.

This is a full-time position working within a small team in the Engineering Department.
