Our client is a 40-year-old, fully integrated steel commercial building manufacturer located in Southern California, operating from a 100,000-square-foot facility.

ob Summary:
The Sales Director is responsible for leading and managing all sales activities to achieve corporate goals and drive revenue growth. This role involves overseeing sales forecasting, setting performance goals, developing strategic sales plans, and managing a dispersed sales team across the Western US.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement strategic sales plans aligned with corporate objectives.
  2. Lead sales forecasting activities and set performance goals.
  3. Analyze market conditions to determine customer needs, pricing strategies, and discount rates.
  4. Manage staffing, training, and performance evaluations to achieve sales objectives.
  5. Direct channel development activities and establish sales territories, quotas, and goals.
  6. Assign sales territories to the team of 10 Outside Sales Territory Development Representatives spread across the Western US region.
  7. Represent the company at trade association meetings to promote its image and values.
  8. Deliver sales presentations to key clients in collaboration with the sales team.
  9. Meet with key clients to maintain relationships, negotiate deals, and close sales.
  10. Coordinate communication between the sales department and other operational departments.
  11. Analyze and control expenditures of the sales department to meet budgetary requirements.
  12. Prepare monthly and quarterly sales reports showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas for client base expansion.
  13. Assist in product research and development efforts.
  14. Monitor and evaluate competitors' activities and products.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
The Sales Director manages a team of 10 Outside Sales Territory Development Representatives spread across the Western US region.'
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master’s degree (MBA) preferred.
  • Four to ten years of related industry experience in a sales environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience managing a dispersed sales team is highly desirable.
Location: Southern California, Fontana, Riverside
Compensation: Salary DOE plus full benefits package
