Our client is a post-sale award-winning customer support software company built specifically for the unique needs of B2B technology-enabled companies within the computer hardware, software, information technology services, and telecom industries.  

They are currently looking to add a Sales Manager - Business Development to they team.  This role will oversee, coordinate, and participate in the management of the Business Development Representatives (BDR). Supervisory Responsibilities:

  •  Train and lead a team with proven processes to generate new sales opportunities 
  • Work with your team to map prospective accounts around organizational structure, people and existing technology.
  •  Coach and encourage engagement with executives in targeted prospect accounts. 
  •  Orchestrate discussions with senior execs around their business needs. 
  •  Manage and maintain the team’s pipeline of interested prospects.
  • Report and demonstrate success using CRM tools to prospect into specific geographic territories and sectors.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Define the campaign structure and tactics to build awareness, create demand in the marketplace, and meet/exceed lead generation and other strategic growth goals.
  • Create, manage and measure fully integrated demand generation campaigns that result in high-quality sales leads via inbound marketing.
  • Execute all aspects of demand generation strategy – including content marketing, email campaigns, events, digital marketing, sales enablement, social media, and PR.
  •  Develop and execute campaigns across digital marketing channels (email, PPC, social, display, nurturing and retargeting).
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of demand generation trends, best practices, and technologies to identify new advertising and demand generation opportunities.
  •  Measure campaign performance using analytics and feedback from the sales team.
  • Analyze and report on demand generation results including return on investment.
  •  Develop insights and recommendations to continuously improve program effectiveness.
  • Maintain alignment with the sales team through timely and actionable communications and feedback sessions.
  • Brainstorm and implement creative, innovative, and maybe even “crazy” demand gen ideas.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Entrepreneurial spirit and commanding desire to lead a successful team.
  • 5+ years sales or related market/business experience or recently graduated from an accredited university.
  • Experience in one of the following: software/SaaS, sales or other related business experience. 
  • The ability to coach how to write succinct, crisp emails and a great phone manner. 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales or related field from an accredited university
  • 5 years of experience in sales, management, marketing, design, or related fields required.
