Sales Director, Start Up / Internet Access New York

Location: New York, NY
Responsible for the sales department team’s and their sales and productivity and directs their effort to achieve the greatest impact on company results in accordance with strategic objectives of the company.
 
Leadership 
  • Lead the development and execution of the sales strategy and sales objectives
  • Identify and develop new opportunities, new channels and markets
  • Improve and implement sales and account management processes
  • Develop and strengthen relationships with accounts on all levels
  • Translate market and customer requirements into input for product development team
  • Build, develop and motivate the sales and account team (currently 6FTE)
  • Develop synergy between delivery and procurement and product development and other company departments to define and focus support for selling and client fulfillment activities; resolve and mitigate conflict. 
  • Meet with direct reports on a regular basis to review position, account status, and assure working strategy exists for major opportunities.
  • Manage sales funnel to assure optimum visibility and performance for opportunities (prospects), projects, and accounts.
  • Build connection and visibility with major account contacts.
  • Actively pursue business relationships and rapport with influencers and decision makers.
  • Maintain awareness, buy-in, and support of Globalinternet market development and “pull” marketing strategies and initiatives.
  • Carry out our vision and values; be a role model for company culture.

  • Expertise in strategy and tactical opportunity planning and execution to achieve revenue goals.
  • Build company brand by collaborating with current and potential customers, community organizations and key influencers.
  • With Sales Team, manage key customer relationships and develop and implement strategies for expanding the customer base.
  • Manage to consistent sales process that aligns with organizational best practices that are scalable and drives improved Sales Team performance.
  • Develop standards and best practices for continually enhancing the customer experience while growing profitable business.
 
Business Drivers
  • generate new customer leads. develop new business with existing customers;
  • make sure that the pipeline is full
  • maintain a strong network within the industry, gather market intelligence
  • Assure relevant training opportunities for sales team members.
  • Actively participate in networks outside of company necessary to compete effectively.
  • With HR, responsible for attracting, hiring, performance management of Sales Team members.
