We currently have an opening for a Project Manager in our Cold-Formed Steel Group who would work remotely in Florida. The successful candidate will have numerous project management and client development responsibilities to help grow our Cold-Formed Steel Group in the Florida market.
What you will be doing:
- Organize and manage structural design efforts for multiple simultaneous projects while maintaining project budgets. Manage and review structural engineering drawings for assigned projects/work assignments including the preparation of plans, schedules and details.
- Review structural systems of primarily cold-formed steel framing for a variety of healthcare, commercial, retail, multi-family residential, industrial and institutional buildings nationwide and review Structural calculations for submittal.
- Manage Engineers and CAD/BIM Technicians to produce shop drawings, calculations and BIM models
- Assist with training and mentoring team members
- Communicate with clients and maintain project schedules and design budgets
- Help lead business development efforts for cold-formed projects to develop and manage a portfolio of clients
- Perform and lead the structural design of various building design projects. This includes development of structural design documents, calculations, and specifications.
- Perform construction administration duties.
Experience you will need:
- Bachelors of Science degree in Civil Engineering with a focus in Structural Engineering.
- Minimum of ten (10) years of professional experience in structural design of cold-formed steel building structures. Some experience with oversight is a plus.
- Extensive knowledge of cold-formed steel design and strong working knowledge of AISI standards
- Have ability to develop innovative solutions for complex problems
- Leadership mentality and ability to work well with others.
- Professional Engineer Licensure required.
- Working knowledge of various structural analysis and design programs including CFS Designer & RISA
